1. What is the Chartered Accountancy course?

A Chartered Accountant is a designation given to a professional who has received membership from a statutory body(ICAI) that he is qualified to take care of accounting and taxation matters of his client related to a business, such as filing of tax returns, GST, audit of annual financial statements, Filing of annual statements, Preparing and reviewing of business practices, financial reports and documents, maintaining investment records etc.

After becoming a Chartered Accountant every member can prefix "CA word" before his name. This is a very prestigious moment for every newly Chartered Accountant. There is no fixed term to complete this course. Because each student has different approaches to complete it, some of them appear for the single group at one time, however, some of the students appear in both group exams simultaneously. But roughly speaking it can be completed within 5-6 years.

After completion of CA course you have to apply for membership. Institute(ICAI) issue membership to each who qualified CA exam and apply for membership. This is the route by which you can become a Chartered Accountant.

After becoming a Chartered Accountant you can apply for campus placement. Campus placements are conducted after the results of both semesters (May and November). Companies around the world participate in campus placements to hire new chartered accountants. Later I will mention how much package they give them.

6. What is the duration of CA Course(5-6 Year approx)

For foundation after 12th you can appear in June or December Measn you spent here how much time it's all upon you. Let suppose 6 months you take in the foundation.

After passing the foundation examination you are appearing for the intermediate examination and now you have the option to select for both groups or you can appear for only one group. So time may vary according to your decision. Suppose you choose to be present in the one group at a time. Then it will take about 15 months to clear intermediate.

I am also clearing a misperception that you can appear for 2nd group before appearing for 1st group or vice versa. After clearing one group of exam you can apply for practical training. But second group must be clear before appearing in final examination

After passing the Intermediate you have to opt for practical training for which the period is 3 years.

After completion of 2.5 years of training, you can appear for final examination.

In the final examination, you also can choose to appear both groups at a single time or you can appear single group at one time. Let suppose you opt to appear single group at one time then it will take 6 more months.

Now if we count all the things mentioned above, it will be more than 5 years. But remember that if you crack all the exams in one go, then you can be a Chartered Accountant within 5 years.

7. What is the salary structure for a newly Chartered Accountant

The term salary of any profession cannot be stated with confidence. Because salary varies for each person as they have a unique quality. But if we talk broadly, then on average we can say 7-8 lakh rupees per year which can be got through campus placements. I am referring the average salary structure for campus placements held on Feb- March 2019. The average salary was Rs.7.43 lac per annum. Highest salary offered for domestic posting is Rs.22.5 lacs and for international posting, it was Rs.36 lacs.
